Cox's Bazar: The longest Sea Beach in the world






Cox's Bazar is the world's longest natural sandy sea beach and the most attractive tourist spots for Bangladesh. Every year lot's of local tourist & foreign tourist come here to spend their leisure in Cox's Bazar. The Cox's Bazar sandy beach is about 122 km in length.

Cox’s Bazar, mostly famous for its beautiful sea beach and the sunset. The sun set of the Cox’s Bazar sea beach is unbelievable. During evening Cox’s Bazar provides a unique opportunity to observe the beauty of sunset behind the waves. When the light of the sun fall down to the sand at sunset, it looks like the sand is not as if they were pearl!



How to go Cox's Bazar:

  • From Dhaka city (the capital of Bangladesh) and outside the Dhaka city you can easily reach Cox’s bazaar by bus. AC, non-AC, Express and non-stop services are available to principal towns and cities in Bangladesh. Ticket price range will be BDT 900-BDT1500.

  • The Rail Way Service is also available from Dhaka Kamlapur Rail Station and other cities in Bangladesh to Chittagong and then by bus or car to Cox's Bazar.

  • You can also go there by air. By air form Sahajalal International Airport, Dhaka or Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong, You can go directly to Cox’s Bazar Airport through several local airlines such as Bangladesh Airlines, GMG Airlines, Regent Airways and United Airways.
By Air it is 30 minutes journey from the domestic terminal of Shahjalal International Airport at Dhaka. one way fair range will be approximately BDT 3500 - BDT 7500.

Cox's Bazar is called the city of residential hotel. You will get a number of hotels and restaurants there with different budget. Most of the Cox's Bazar hotels accommodate superior account with
reasonable cost.

In Cox’s bazaar the luxurious tourist hotels are Seagull Hotel, Hotel Sea Palace, Hotel Coral Reef, Hotel Paradise, Hotel Mishuk, Hotel kollol, Hotel Sea Heart, Long Beach Hotel.

Saint Mertin island: Cox’s Bazar



Saint Martins Island is in the northeast part of the Bay of Bengal and one of the most naturally beautiful places and the only coral island of Bangladesh. It is the best island in south Asia. The local names of the island are "Daruchini Dip" and "Narical Gingira" which means 'Coconut Island' in Bengali. As the island is full of coconut trees local people named this coral island after this specialty.



The natural scenery of the island is very much exotic especially at night. The beauty of Full moon in St. Martins Island cannot be expressed, if you are not there at that time. The moonlit night on the island provides unearthly peaceful and majestic experience. If it happens to be a moonlit night then you will not be able to resist the charm and surely be tempted to visit the St. Martin Island again.


St. Martins is a very small island. It’s possible to walk around the island in a day because it measures only 8 sq km, shrinking to about 5 sq km during high tide. Every year thousands of tourists around the world come to visit this island. Some tourists considered that St. Martin is the world's best island.



How to go Saint Martin’s Island:


At first you have to go Cox’s Bazar by bus or by air. And then from here you need to reach Teaknaf by Bus. Finally  from Teaknaf you can reach the place by water transports i.e. boats or ships.

Chera Dip: Cox’s Bazar



Chera Dip  is an island of Bangladesh. Chera dip a part of St. Martin Island. Although chera dip is a part of saint martin island but it is divided by a tide. Here you will find a lots of Corals – living and dead all over the Island. It is the only coral island in Bangladesh. Also you will find a small bush which is the only green portion of that island. Most tourists considered that this part enhance the beauty of Chera Dip. It is one of the popular tourist places among the local travelers.


How to go Chera Dip :

At first you have to go Cox’s Bazar and then  Saint Martin.
From Saint Martin you can go there by walking during low tide and it takes only one and a half hour to reach there. Otherwise you can go there by the local boats or ships. Most people takes boats or
ships as they want to walk for too long.
Lots of travel agencies are available and they provide the package tours and you can also discuss with them for more information.

Note:
Chera dip is a very small place and people don’t leave there, it is better for the tourists to visit there early in the day and come back to saint martin during the day for their safety.

Sonadia Island: Cox’s Bazar





Sonadia Island is a small island of  Cox’s Bazar. It is about seven kilometer of Cox's Bazar and about nine square kilometer in area. The western side of the island is sandy and different kinds of shells are found on the beach. Off the northern part of the island, there are beds of windowpane oysters. During winter, fisherman set up temporary camps on the island and Dries Sea fishes, which they catch from Sea.

Moheshkhali island: Cox’s Bazar

Moheshkhali island is famous for its beauty and tranquility.It is the only hilly Island of Bangladesh.This is an amazing area in the Bay of Bengal in the north-western guidelines off Cox’s Bazar. The isle can be available by standard water vessel of 20-30 moments generate. The isle is marked with wooded mountains and some mangrove plants plus the beach. The historical Adinath Temple at the hilltop and the Rakhain towns with their vibrant Buddhist temple has got tremendous touristic destinations. An incredible number of Hindu enthusiasts fulfill together during the event at the Aditinath Temple (mid Falgun) every season.
 
How to go:
From Cox’s Bazar you can reach the Moheshkhali by trawler (local motorboat) or by speedboat. By trawler, it is one hour and half an hour journey whereas speedboat takes only 20 minutes.

Where to stay:
There is no good facilities to stay here but that is not a problem because you can stay Cox’s Bazar where you can find lots of hotels and restaurants to stay and have food.
